The base is blush pink ceramic in a soft matte glaze, with two blunt knobs projecting from the body for no reason other than that the shape is better for having them. Above it sits a ribbed cream cylinder shade, straight-sided, which crops the light into a tidy column rather than letting it spread.
Switched on, the ribbing throws faint vertical shading down the shade and the glow lands mostly up and down — good on a bedside table where you want reading light without brightening the whole room. Off, the pink reads almost like a small piece of pottery.
