Above the line it is straightforward mid-century: a warm walnut top on slim tapered legs, ready for a book, a plant or a cup of tea. Below it, an enclosed nook is cut into the body with a cushion inside, giving a cat somewhere dim and contained to disappear into while the room carries on around it.
The point is that nothing has to be tidied away. It reads as furniture first, so it can sit at the end of a seating run in full view rather than in a spare room.
