The headboard is a grid: black lines dividing rectangles of red, yellow and blue, laid out with the asymmetry that makes the composition work rather than a tidy chequerboard. The blocks are different sizes on purpose, and the black lines run past them to the edge, so the whole panel behaves like a painting hung at pillow height.
A yellow platform base carries the idea down to the floor. It is a bed with a sense of humour, and it needs plain walls and plain bedding to keep the joke intact.
