The larger cut of the fluted pedestal, and the one that changes a room.
Everything is broader here — a wide matte cobalt top, a thicker ribbed neck, and a terracotta base gathered into generous folds that spread out at the floor. The extra width turns it from an occasional table into something with real presence, closer to a plinth than a side table.
It has the surface to take a stack of books and a vessel together, or a single large object, and the footprint to stand alone in a corner or between two chairs. Give it room and it will hold its ground; crowd it and you lose the shape.
