Small black flowers, painted straight onto the glaze.
Three colours are doing the work here: a sage green cylinder shade, a chunky pale blue ceramic body scattered with little hand-painted black flowers, and a green disc foot that catches the whole thing at the bottom. The painting is loose, so the flowers sit slightly differently on every lamp.
Light comes out warm and softened through the fabric shade, low and pooled rather than bright — the sort of glow that suits a bedside table late in the evening. Unlit, it holds its own as a decorative object, which is really the point of a lamp shaped like this one.
