A squat ceramic drum in painted checks, wearing a frosted globe like a hat.
The body is short and wide, glazed in an irregular black and cream check that has clearly been laid on by hand — the squares wobble slightly, which is the best thing about it. A black collar caps the ceramic and carries a generous frosted globe above it.
The globe gives a round, even light with no glare, which makes this an easy lamp to sit beside a reading chair or on a bedside table where a bare bulb would be too much.
