A turned bobbin base under a mottled bronze-olive glaze.
The profile is traditional — a stack of swelling spheres, narrowing between each one — but the finish is what lifts it. The glaze pools darker in the recesses and breaks lighter over the curves, so the colour shifts between bronze and olive depending on where the light falls.
A straight cream linen shade sits above and keeps things restrained, throwing a soft warm wash down onto whatever the lamp stands on. Bobbin shapes have been made for a very long time, and this one is comfortable on a bedside table, a chest of drawers or an entryway console without needing to look period.
