A slim console with the manners of an antique and the colour of a good claret.
Turned bobbin legs carry a narrow top finished with a beaded apron running along the front edge — the sort of detail that usually arrives in polished mahogany. Lacquered instead in a deep oxblood, the piece keeps its formality but loses the fustiness, reading as rich rather than heavy.
Its depth is the useful part: shallow enough for a tight hallway where a fuller table would catch your hip, but long enough to take a tray, a bowl and the post. Against a dark or muted wall the finish glows.
